ANCHORAGE, ALASKA - Three University of Alabama basketball players were named to the All-Tournament team at the Great Alaska Shootout. Earnest Shelton, Chuck Davis and Kennedy Winston were among the 11 players honored.
Shelton averaged 21.3 points in three tournament games there, including the career high 29 he scored against Minnesota in the semifinals. Davis averaged 15 points, including 23 points and nine rebounds in the championship game, and Winston averaged 13 points, in play that included 18 points and nine rebounds against Minnesota.
Wooden All-American candidate Nate Robinson, who led Washington to the title, was the Most Outstanding Player. The All-Tournament team also included Alaska Anchorage's Brian Hills, Furman's Quan Prowell, Minnesota's Vincent Grier, Oklahoma's Terrell Everett and Kevin Bookout, Utah's Andrew Bogut and Washington's Bobby Jones.
