TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama men's basketball team has been hard at work in the practice gym as it makes final preparations for its trip to the NIT Season Tipoff semifinals in Madison Square Garden.
The Tide is set to depart Tuscaloosa on Monday late afternoon and arrive in New York City on Monday night. Alabama will practice on Tuesday in the Garden following a media press conference with the local and national media.
Alabama will play in the second semifinal game Wednesday night against No. 6/6 Duke at 8:30 p.m. CT (9:30 p.m. ET). The contest, which will follow the first semifinal game between Drexel and No. 5/4 Arizona, will be televised on ESPN2.
Prior to Monday's practice, RollTide.com caught up with head coach Anthony Grant and some of the Crimson Tide student-athletes to gauge their excitement about this week's trip.
