TUSCALOOSA – Single game tickets for The University of Alabama Men’s Basketball team’s home games will go on sale Monday, October 28, 2002 beginning at 9:00 a.m. CT.
Tickets to Alabama’s home games may be purchased on the University of Alabama’s official website, www.rolltide.com, or by calling 1-877-TIDETIX (843-3849) or, locally in Tuscaloosa 205/348-BAMA(2262), or in person at the Coleman Coliseum Athletic Ticket Office. Please note that tickets will no longer be available through Southtix, but only through the UA Ticket Office in a move made to better serve the public by placing the tickets in a central location through the University’s Athletic Ticket Office.
UA home game tickets for the non-conference games are $15/adults and $8/youth (15 and under) plus handling fees. Tickets for the SEC games are $17/adults and $8/youth plus handling fees.
Tickets for the Kentucky game (Saturday, January 25, 2003) and the Auburn game (Saturday, February 15, 2003) will be available ONLY as a part of the “flex package”. The cost of the flex package is $32. It will include one ticket to Kentucky or Auburn and one ticket to any other non-SEC game. Single game tickets will be available for the Kentucky and Auburn games on January 2, 2003, if tickets remain.
Season tickets are also available at $235 each.
Basketball fans can come to Coleman Coliseum to watch the University of Alabama, a 2002 NCAA tournament and top-10 ranked team, play five teams that advanced to the NCAA Championships and see, firsthand, seven John R. Wooden National Player of the Year candidates. Among the teams that will play in Coleman Coliseum against the Tide this season are 2002 NCAA tournament teams Xavier (January 4), Kentucky (January 25), Georgia (February 18), Ole Miss (March 2) and Mississippi State (January 15). It will also host 2002 NIT Final Four team South Carolina (March 5) as well as NIT participants St. Bonaventure (December 7) and LSU (February 1).
Seven John R. Wooden Player of the Year candidates are on teams that come to Tuscaloosa this season, including Xavier’s Romain Sato and David West, Georgia’s Jarvis Hayes, Kentucky’s Keith Bogans, Mississippi State’s Mario Austin, and Ole Miss’s Justin Reed.
