TUSCALOOSA Former University of Alabama basketball player Bryan Passink has moved from courtside reporter to the analyst’s seat as the color commentator on the Crimson Tide Sports Network’s basketball broadcast team.
He will join Chris Stewart, Alabama basketball’s radio play-by-play announcer.
“I am very excited to have the opportunity to become the color analyst for the University of Alabama basketball program,” said Passink. “I consider it a great honor and I’m looking forward to this new role. Having played for the Crimson Tide, I have a tremendous passion for this university and can’t wait to get this season started.”
Passink joined the CTSN broadcast team in 2004 as the courtside reporter, literally going into the team huddles and reporting at time-outs. Passink played for Alabama in 1993, 1994 and 1995, advancing to post-season play all three seasons. The 1995 Alabama team finished No. 20 in the final AP rankings.
