Former University of Alabama forward Kennedy Winston scored 14 points in NBA Summer Pro League play on Sunday. Winston is playing for the Memphis Grizzlies, a 103-81 winner against the Toronto Raptors at the Pyramid in Long Beach, Calif.
Winston's game included making six of 12 shots from the field and two of two free throws attempted in 23 minutes of play. The Grizzlies, who return to play on Tuesday against Dallas, are now 2-0 in SPL play where they are competing in the Southern California league in Long Beach. Winston and his teammates defeated the LA Lakers 93-85 Friday on opening day. Winston played 23 minutes of that game and scored four points.
