TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama men's basketball team earned the No. 10 seed in the 2014 Southeastern Conference Tournament and will play No. 7 seed LSU Thursday night at 7 p.m. ET (6 p.m. CT) on SEC TV. This year's tournament will be held March 12-16 in the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Ga.
Alabama and LSU met once already this season, with the Tide earning a narrow 82-80 victory in Coleman Coliseum on Jan. 22. The Tide led the contest by as many as 19 points, however, the Tigers responded and eventually grabbed a three-point lead with just under five minutes remaining. Alabama kept within striking distance and Shannon Hale hit a three-pointer that gave the Tide the lead for good.
The winner of the Tide and Tigers will advance to face No. 2 seed Kentucky Friday at 7 p.m. ET.
