TUSCALOOSA – The National Association of Basketball Coaches has given a nod to the play of University of Alabama sophomore forward Kennedy Winston. Winston was voted All-District 6, 2nd team in the NABC’s Division I All-District Teams.

Winston, who is from Prichard, leads Alabama in scoring with his average of 16.1 points. He’s also averaging 5.2 rebounds. He has started in all 22 of Alabama’s games this season and has scored 20 or more points in seven games this season, including a season high 27 points where he had the game-winning shot against Oregon on December 20th at the Las Vegas Shootout.

The District 6 First Team includes Mississippi State’s Lawrence Roberts, Ole Miss’s Justin Reed, Florida’s Anthony Roberson, Miami’s Darius Rice and Florida State’s Tim Pickett. Joining Winston on the Second Team, All-District 6 are Mississippi State’s Timmy Bowers, Auburn’s Marco Killingsworth, Florida’s David Lee, and UAB’s Morris Finley.
