Recap |  Box Score

Head Coach Anthony Grant
His thoughts on the win:
“I thought our guys did a great job of weathering the storms that happened during the course of the game.  This was a great growing game, great learning game for our guys.”

On his team disrupting Baylor’s play:
“We did a very good job from an offensive standpoint taking advantage of what they gave us and then defensively, limiting their opportunities taking away some of the strengths of their team.”

On the matchup difficulties Baylor presented:
“We had a difficult time adjusting to their size and length. Once we were able to get some conversions and have some success offensively, we were able to get the game going at the pace we wanted.”

On his team’s defense:
“We want to be aggressive.  When you have a team that’s in the bonus that early in the second half, that could cause you some concern. Our guys did a great job of being able to defend without fouling.”

Junior guard Senario Hillman, No. 21
On his thoughts in the final minute:
“We couldn’t give up, we had to work hard and defend.”

On what the team was able to do defensively:
“We got a lot of crucial steals and turnovers. They [Baylor] made a lot of turnovers in the beginning of the game and we just capitalized on it.”

Sophomore forward JaMychal Green, No. 32
On his scoring performance:
“I had to score to help my team win. I didn’t want to disappoint my teammates.”

On what the team can take from this win:
“We have a bright upside this year.  Nothing but improvement right now, we’re never satisfied, still hungry.”
