Three Alabama Baseball Players to Receive Degrees on Saturday

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - When the University of Alabama holds in winter graduation this weekend, three former baseball players will receive their degrees. Those three players are pitchers Charley Sullivan and Trey Pilkington and former catcher Charley Waldrep.

Sullivan finished his career with the Crimson Tide in 2013 following a three-year career where the right-hander appeared in 46 games with 26 starts. He posted a 9-12 overall record with a 4.12 ERA in 187.2 innings pitched for the Tide. Sullivan will receive his degree in management.

Trey Pilkington was a four-year letterwinner for the Crimson Tide from 2010-13. Pilkington appeared in 48 games, while making seven appearances as a starter. He compiled a 5-6 record with a pair of saves, both coming during the 2012 season. Pilkington posted a 5.87 ERA in 96.2 innings pitched with 53 strikeouts. He earned a degree in general business.

Charley Waldrep came to Alabama as a Paul W. Bryant Scholarship recipient in 2010.  As a catcher, Waldrep appeared in two games at Alabama, stepping to the play twice during the 2011 season. He spent the last two seasons as the bullpen catcher for the Tide.
