Alabama assistant coach Andy Phillips about Matt Morgan
"Matt is a high-energy guy that possesses a lot of physical tools. He's a plus catch and throw guy and has great receiving ability and a good arm. Physically, he's what you want. He's a very athletic kid, so he can bounce around and do multiple things on the field and he has tremendous upsize. He can be a really good offensive player, but also be an impact defensive guy. He's has some physicality to him and the ball jumps off his bat. He's developed into a pure hitter and doing a better job with contact. Mechanically, the swing in good and the more at-bats he gets the better he's going to be."

Additionally, Ashworth participated in Perfect Game's 2013 National Showcase, 2011 and 2012 National Underclass Showcases, and 2012 Junior National Showcase

Alabama assistant coach Dax Norris about Logan Ashworth
"Logan Ashworth is a guy that has really come on lately and will be a mid-90s velocity pitcher when he's done at Alabama. He's a strike-thrower. Like the other guys in the class, he really pounds the zone. That's what we're looking for in our recruiting. He needs to work on the breaking ball, but with his fastball and change-up, he will bolster our staff next year. "
