Baseball Signees Geoffrey Bramblett and Hunter Webb
Nov. 19, 2012 TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Over the next five days, two players from the 2013 Alabama baseball signing class will be featured on RollTide.com. Two players will be featured each day. Today’s featured players are right-handed pitcher Geoffrey Bramblett from Locust Fork, Ala., and outfielder Hunter Webb from Salem, Ala.
Geoffrey Bramblett Rated as the 13th best player in the state of Alabama by Perfect Game USA … also plays third base … Rated as the 10th best right-handed pitcher in Alabama and No. 160 nationally … possesses a high-80s fastball with a good breaking ball … Was named the Blount County Baseball Tournament MVP … Was an all-county selection following his junior season …Made 10 starts, had 12 appearances for a 6-3 record with a 0.52 ERA in 53.1 innings pitched in 2012 for LFHS … Had 105 strikeouts in 2012, and had at least 10 Ks in five games, including 18 in a complete game performance against Hayden High School … As a sophomore, he hit .405 with seven home runs … The Blount County championship was the first for the school in 10 years … Is a three sport athlete, playing baseball, football and basketball … As a senior on the football team in 2012, he threw for 2,439 yards with 27 touchdowns, while running for 733 yards and 12 TDs … Was an All-Blount Country selection at quarterback in 2011 … Also the team punter … Was a 4A, Region 6, All-Area selection in basketball following the 2011-12 season. Hunter Webb Is rated as the eighth best prospect in Alabama, and the third best outfielder in the state by Perfect Game USA … Ranked as the 325th best prospect and the 72nd best outfield prospect nationally by Perfect Game USA … Posted a .408 batting average, with two home runs, 19 RBI and 30 runs scored in 2012 for RCHS … Collected 51 hits as a junior, while collecting multiple hits in 14 games … Was a 2012 Preseason Underclass Honorable Mention All-American selection by Perfect Game … Was also selected as a 2011 Preseason Underclass Honorable Mention All-American by Perfect Game USA … Was a starter on the varsity baseball team since his eighth grade year.
