Tuscaloosa, Ala. - When the Alabama football team hosted the LSU Tigers on November 9, 2013, a number of celebrities walked the sideline prior to the start of the game. The biggest name to come to Tuscaloosa on Saturday was Nike founder Phil Knight, who took a few minutes to talk with Alabama head baseball coach Mitch Gaspard and Alabama softball coach Patrick Murphy, in addition to taking a quick photo with the two Crimson Tide coaches.

A few Major League Baseball players were also spotted on the sidelines. The MLB players included New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter, a current teammate of former Alabama pitcher David Robertson and a past teammate of current Alabama assistant baseball coach Andy Phillips.

"It was great having Derek here in Tuscaloosa to enjoy the great atmosphere and game at Bryant-Denny," Phillips said. "Derek is unquestionably the greatest player that I had the privilege to play with and I certainly enjoyed my time catching up with him on Saturday."

Additionally, Jake Pevey, a right-handed pitcher for the 2013 World Series Champions Boston Red Sox joined the College Gameday crew in the morning and Tampa Bay Rays outfielder and Birmingham native Desmond Jennings enjoyed the game from Bryant-Denny Stadium.
