TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – For the fifth week of the fall workouts, the University of Alabama baseball team will have a short week due to the university’s fall break. Alabama will practice on Tuesday and will have a scrimmage and host its annual Scout Day on Wednesday afternoon.
The Tide will have full team practice on Tuesday, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Alabama will then have a scrimmage on Wednesday with first pitch scheduled for at approximately 3:00 p.m. at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. As part of the Wednesday scrimmage, the Tide will welcome MLB scouts to the stadium for its annual Scout Day.
Following the Wednesday scrimmage, the team will have the rest of the weekend off, before returning for the final week of fall practice, Nov. 4-8. Next week the Crimson Tide will scrimmage three times, playing it Crimson and Grey World Series on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday nights.
Fans are invited to visit “The Joe” to get an early look at the 2014 Crimson Tide baseball team, as all fall practices and scrimmages are open to the public. The weekly schedule will be posted on RollTide.cohm on a weekly basis.
With the new seating area in right field, fans are encouraged to come out to Sewell-Thomas Stadium and watch practices and scrimmages from the new plaza seating area beyond the right field fence.
