Spots Still Available for Alabama Winter Baseball Camps
Oct. 26, 2011
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama baseball camps are still accepting sign-ups for the last two camps of the winter season. Alabama baseball will host two camps during the month of December, after completing the fall Monday Night Hitting Camps this week.
The Youth Christmas Camp will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10 for players from kindergarten through seventh grade. During the camp, players will get instruction for all aspects of baseball, while learning how baseball is played at Alabama from its players and coaches.
The Christmas Showcase and Games Camp will be held in the afternoon on Dec. 10, and all day Dec. 11. A pro-style workout on Dec. 10, will have each athlete run, throw from their position and take batting practice at Sewell Thomas Stadium. Day two is GAME DAY. Each player will participate in two games, with one of the two being at Alabama. Many times there are other college and pro scouts at the Christmas Showcase and all members of the Alabama coaching staff will be present. This is not an overnight camp and each player will be responsible for their own housing.
