TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – After a successful summer camp season, Alabama baseball will hold its winter camps on Dec. 8-9. Alabama Baseball Camps will offer a pair of camps over the two days, with the Youth Christmas Camp on Saturday, Dec. 8 and the Christmas Showcase and Games Camp on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 8-9.
The Youth Christmas Camp is one day of instruction for kindergarten through seventh grade players. During the Dec. 8 camp, players will get instruction for all aspects of baseball, while learning how baseball is played at Alabama from its players and coaches.
The Christmas Showcase and Games Camp will begin in the afternoon on Dec. 8, and all day Dec. 9. A pro-style workout on Dec. 8, will have each athlete run, throw from their position and take batting practice at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. Day two is GAME DAY. Each player will participate in two games, with one of the two being played at Alabama.
Many times there are other college and pro scouts at the Christmas Showcase and all members of the Alabama coaching staff will be present. This is not an overnight camp and each player will be responsible for their own housing.
