Appeared in 60 games and made 52 starts ... hit .285 (57-for-200) with one home run, 24 RBI, 31 runs scored, five doubles, two triples and one stolen base ... tallied 14 multi-hit games and five multi-RBI games ... played in 28 SEC games and made 24 starts for the 2006 SEC Champions ... against SEC opponents, he hit .307 (27-for-88) with 13 RBI ... posted a five-game hitting streak (.421, 8-for-19) from Feb. 13-19 ... slugged his first career home run in a 7-6 win over Birmingham Southern on Feb. 28, tallying a career-high three RBI in the game ... went 2-for-4 with two RBI in a 4-2 loss to No. 1 Mississippi State on April 2 ... compiled a career-high 11-game hitting streak (.442, 19-for-43, 8 RBI) from April 15-May 5 ... went 4-for-8 in the final two games at No. 20 LSU on April 15-16 ... went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI in a 14-7 win over No. 16 Vanderbilt on April 22 ... tied the UA single-game record with two sacrifice bunts in a 6-5 win over Vanderbilt on April 23 ... had two hits and three RBI in the Tide’s 9-1 series clinching win over Auburn on April 30 ... went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and two RBI in the series opener at Tennessee on May 18 as UA clinched a tie for the SEC Western Division title ... went 2-for-4 and scored two runs in the Crimson Tide’s 13-1 win over Jacksonville State in the 2006 NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional.

A 2005 graduate of Paul W. Bryant High School in Tuscaloosa where he was a two-year starter in baseball for Coach John Cameron ... in two seasons at Bryant, he hit .434 with 11 home runs and 91 RBI ... helped Bryant to two straight area titles and a berth in the Class 6A state playoffs ... as a senior, he hit .421 with seven home runs and 56 RBI ... as a junior, he hit .448 with four home runs and 35 RBI ... played his freshman and sophomore years at Tuscaloosa’s Central High School ... was a member of three straight American Legion state championship teams (2003-05) that advanced to the Southeast Regionals ... the 2003 squad missed the American Legion World Series by one game after losing in the title game.
