Taylor Dugas Finalist for 2012 Premier Players Award for College Baseball

TAMPA, Fla. - Alabama center fielder Taylor Dugas (Lafayette, La.) has been selected as one of five finalists for the 2012 Premier Player of College Baseball Award, which is presented by Premier Players Sports Foundation. The polls close on June 30, the award will be announced in July and presented at an awards dinner in Atlanta in August. A first team All-Southeastern Conference selection in 2012, Dugas finished his senior campaign at the Capstone with a team-high .343 batting average, while leading the team in hits (71), runs (41), doubles (12), triples (7), and walks (24). Dugas also finished his career as the school’s all-time hits leader with 334, while setting the school records with 235 career singles, 67 career doubles, and 18 career triples.
