TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Three members of the 2013 Alabama NCAA Tournament team earned All-Southeastern Conference honors, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday. Freshman shortstop Mikey White was a Second Team All-SEC pick, while second baseman Kyle Overstreet and relief pitcher Ray Castillo earned all-freshman team honors.

A second-team All-SEC selection as a freshman, Mikey White started all 60 games at shortstop for the Crimson Tide. He was outstanding at the plate during SEC play, hitting .350 in 29 conference games, to rank eighth in the league during conference games, and he led the Tide with 17 RBI during conference action. White hit both his home runs in conference play, while seven of his 11 doubles came against SEC opponents.

Kyle Overstreet started all 60 games at second base and was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team. Overstreet enters the postseason hitting .274, after finishing second on the club with a .291 average during SEC play. Overstreet was also outstanding with the glove, as he posted a .983 fielding percentage, making six errors in 347 attempts this season. He leads the SEC with 63 fielding double plays in 2013.

Ray Castillo was also a SEC All-Freshman Team selection after collecting 11 saves for the Crimson Tide this season. Castillo currently ranks ninth in the conference in saves this year after converting 11-of-13 chances. His 11 saves currently rank tied for fourth in a single season and ninth in a career at Alabama.
