Four Current Baseball Players to Graduate This Weekend

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – This weekend, a total of four currently student-athletes from the University of Alabama baseball team, along with two former student-athletes and two student managers will graduate this weekend. Current members of the Crimson Tide baseball team include Cary Baxter, Tucker Hawley, Jay Shaw and Austen Smith.

In addition to the four current student-athletes, former Tide baseball players Nathan Kilcrease and Cameron Carlisle also completed their undergraduate degrees this spring. Kilcrease is currently a fifth-year student coach with the 2014 Tide, after playing minor league baseball since he exhausted his eligibility following the 2011 season. Student managers Stuart Moore and Phillip Provost also completed their degrees this semester.  

These eight members of the Alabama baseball program are among 58 University of Alabama student-athletes from 16 different sports are slated to graduate this Saturday. The 58 Crimson Tide student-athletes include 11 All-Americans and three that earned one of the NCAA’s highest academic honors.
