TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - To celebrate the last day of the Spring semester, Alabama will host the "Night at the Joe" before Friday night's baseball game against Texas A&M at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. The "Night at the Joe" consists of a pre-game concert by the Whiskey River Band, starting at 5 p.m., outside the main entrance to Sewell-Thomas Stadium and great giveaways for UA students.
The first 1,500 Alabama students in attendance will receive a FREE "Built-by-Bama" Koozie, and the first 500 UA students will also receive a FREE hot dog. Great prizes will also be given out between innings, including a Yeti cooler, a game-worn Pro Combat Alabama football jersey, Ray-Ban sunglasses, $100 gift cards and much more!
The concert by the Whiskey River Band is open to students and fans that have a ticket for Friday night's baseball game against Texas A&M. For more information regarding the "Night at the Joe" promotion, contact Assistant Director for Marketing and Promotions, Brian Kohout at 205-348-6179.
Additional promotions for the Alabama weekend series against Texas A&M include, an Alabama baseball Ion necklace to the first 500 kids in attendance on Saturday night. Sunday is Kids' Day, with all youth 18 and under receiving free admission, and the first 250 kids 12 and under receiving a free hot dog and drink. Face painting will be available for all kids, and fans are invited to run the bases and receive team autographs post-game.
