The Alabama (12-3) Crimson Tide baseball team, winners of 11 of its last 12 games, brings a seven-game winning streak into Wednesday night's 6:30 p.m. game with the Birmingham Southern Panthers (5-5) at Sewell-Thomas Stadium.  This is Alabama's third game of the season against an in-state foe and the second straight week the Tide will be looking to avenge a loss from last season.  BSC scored an unearned run in the bottom of the eighth inning on Mar. 17, 2004 to post a 4-3 win over Alabama in front of a record crowd at Scrushy-Striplin Field in Birmingham.  Jonathan Sanford had three hits in the win for BSC, while Connor Robertson slugged a two-run home run and notched the win on the mound.  Robertson's younger brother, David, is a member of the Alabama team this season.  Rocky Scelfo had two hits and two RBI for Alabama, while Emeel Salem added three hits in the loss.  Alabama will send sophomore left-hander Brandon Belcher (3 GS, 0-0, 4.09) to the mound against BSC on Wednesday night.  Belcher is looking for his first win of the season in his fourth start.  The Crimson Tide averages nine runs per game in his three previous starts.  Junior RHP David Horne (3 GS, 1-0, 2.55 ERA) will pitch for the Panthers.
