TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama baseball team is set to open their 2013 campaign by hosting a pre-season fan appreciation day on Saturday, January 12, at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. The event will run from 2-4 p.m., following the men’s basketball game versus Tennessee.
Fans are invited to tour Sewell-Thomas Stadium, meet the team and hear from the Alabama baseball coaching staff.
Every fan in attendance will receive two free tickets to the season opening series against Virginia Military Institute (VMI), Friday, February15 through Sunday, February 17. The Alabama baseball coaching staff will host a question-and-answer session from 2:45 to 3:15 p.m.
Fans will have the opportunity to interact with and get autographs from members of the team, participate in raffle drawings for a variety of prizes, including 2013 Alabama baseball season tickets and the chance to throw out the first pitch at a future game.
In addition, fans will be able to take a first-hand look at available seats in Sewell-Thomas Stadium and have the opportunity to purchase 2013 season tickets with home series against Tennessee, Arkansas, LSU, and SEC newcomers Texas A&M and Missouri.
Parking is available in the parking lot behind the left field fence. Fans not attending the Alabama-Tennessee men’s basketball game are encouraged to arrive after 2:15 p.m., to avoid traffic congestion. For more information, please call (205) 348-6179.
