Another talented freshman left-hander, Adam Windsor will compete for a spot in the Crimson Tide rotation this season ... coming off a stellar prep career at Clay-Chalkville High School, where he posted a 22-6 (.786) career record on the mound ... named the 2009 Alabama Sportswriters Association Class 6A Pitcher of the Year after compiling a 7-1 (.857) record and 1.12 ERA as a prep senior ... he averaged more than 11 strikeouts per game in his senior season .... one of nine UA signees rated in the Top 500 by Perfect Game Crosschecker, which is the national rating system for prep all-stars ... participated in numerous high school all-star games and showcases during his four-year prep career, including the 2009 Grand Slam World Series Tournament, 2008 Triple Crown Tournament, 2008 Nashville Showcase, 2008 Perfect Game BCS Regional and 2008 WWBA World Series.
