A two-way player on Shelton State's team that finished runner-up in the 2008 NJCAA World Series ... the Bucs finished the season with a 48-19 record and won their second straight Alabama State Championship and Region XXII Championship ... played in 60 games and earned 53 starts in his first season at Shelton State ... hit .333 (63-for-189) with seven home runs and 43 RBI ... also added five doubles, 44 walks and scored 48 runs ... recorded 15 multi-hit games and 13 multi-RBI games ... posted an 11-game hitting streak from May 11-29, where he batted .306 (11-for-36) with one home run, seven RBI and nine runs scored ... collected three hits against Marion Military (April 22), Snead State (April 25) and Bevill State (May 4) ... hit two home runs against Birmingham Southern (April 1) and Snead State (April 26) ... collected season-high five RBI against Bevill State (April 4) ... as a pitcher, he posted a 4-3 record with four saves and a 5.01 ERA in 26 relief appearances ... ranked fifth in the state with four saves ... he worked 44 2/3 innings and allowed 31 runs (26 ER) and 44 hits with 77 strikeouts and 23 walks ... held opponents to a .243 batting average ... recorded season-high seven strikeouts against Bevill State (May 4) and Central Alabama (May 13).
