A talented left-hander, Morgan is one of the front-runners to land a spot in the Tide's SEC pitching rotation this season ... coming off a solid freshman season ... throws a ton of strikes ... tough on left-handed hitters ... played in the East Cobb baseball program in Atlanta ... played on four national championship teams during his summer league career ... member of the 2006 AAU 16-and-under national champions that posted a 90-6 record ... Morgan is a second-generation Alabama baseball player. His father, Wiley, was a pitcher on the Crimson Tide's 1983 College World Series runner-up team. The elder Morgan made three appearances in 1983 and allowed one earned run and eight hits in six innings of work. The Tide went 46-11 and won the SEC Championship in 1983.

CAREER POSTSEASON NOTES:
Morgan made one postseason appearance as a true freshman with a six-inning stint against Tennessee Tech in the 2009 Clemson Regional ... he allowed six runs and eight hits with three strikeouts and two walks in the elimination game loss ... he did not see action in the 2009 SEC Tournament.

FRESHMAN (2009):
Morgan was 4-1 (.800) with a 2.96 ERA in nine starts ... Alabama was 5-4 (.556) in those nine starts ... he earned a win over No. 1 Georgia in his first career SEC start on March 14 ... in SEC play, Morgan is 2-1 (.667) with a 3.13 ERA in four starts against No. 1 Georgia, No. 22 Mississippi, No. 23 Florida, No. 11 Arkansas and Auburn ... Morgan struggled out of the pen this season ... he had no record and a 12.27 ERA in four relief appearances ... Full name is Adam Christopher Morgan ... son of Wiley and Karen Morgan ... one younger brother, Grant ... Adam is asecond-generation Alabama player, his father was a pitcher on the Crimson Tide's 1983 SEC Championship team that finished runner-up to Texas in the 1983 College World Series.
