Crimson Tide to honor eight seniors prior to Friday's game against Bulldogs
SENIOR (2012): Was been hit by a pitch 32 times in his career, placing him seventh all-time at Alabama ... ranks tied for sixth all-time at Alabama in sacrifice bunts with 19 ... Posted a .226 average with four multi-hit and four multi-RBI games ... Started in 34-of-45 games played, 24 of those starts coming at first base ... Reached base 13 straight times from Feb. 24 to March 16 ... Posted two hits, two RBI and one run in four at-bats against Georgia (May 19) ... in the final game of the season and his last at-bat at Alabama, he delivered the game-winning, two-out two-run single in the bottom of the eighth inning in a 6-4 win over the Bulldogs ... Went 5-for-10 (.500) with one run and one RBI in the weekend series at Kentucky ... added his 19th career sacrifice bunt in the second game of the series against Vanderbilt (4.21), moving into a tie with Darren Wood for sixth all-time at Alabama ... Was 2-for-6 in the doubleheader against MVSU (April 19), with a run scored and an RBI ... Scored two runs in the series opener against No. 23 Auburn (April 6), going 1-for-7 with four walks and three runs scored in the series ... Tied his career-high with three hits and two doubles in the first game of the series at Tennessee (March 30) earning a season-high five total bases, getting one run and two RBI ... Went 1-for-3 against Samford (3.14), scoring one run in the ninth inning comeback ... Was 1-for-2 against Oral Roberts (3.11) earning a run and getting a walk ... had a pinch-hit RBI single in the sixth inning of the final game at Tulane (3.4) ... Hit his third career home run against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Feb. 25), it was his first home run since June 6, 2010 against Georgia Tech in the NCAA Regional Championship game ... Finished the Arkansas-Pine Bluff weekend 3-for-10 (.300) with a double, two runs scored and five RBI ... reached base in three of four plate appearances and scored a run in game one of the opening series against FAU, walking three times as the starting DH in the season opener.
JUNIOR (2011): Broke his right foot on March 26 forcing him to miss a majority of the season ... made his return on May 14 against Auburn ... hit .221 with 10 runs and nine RBI while also stealing two bases for the year ... SEC Academic Honor Roll ... Tallahassee Regional: Appeared in the final two games of the Regional against Central Florida and Florida State, both times in pinch-hit situations, staying in to play right field in the UCF game ... went 0-for-2 in his two at-bats. SEC Tournament: Was 0-for-1 in a pinch-hitting role against Florida (5/27). South Carolina: Appeared in game three of the SC series as a pinch hitter ... went 0-for-1 in his lone plate appearance. Auburn: Made his first appearance since March 26, coming in as a defensive replacement at first base in game one of Saturday's doubleheader ... did not make any plate appearances. Kentucky: Played in two games at second base before breaking his right foot after being hit by a pitch in game two ... went 0-for-5 while getting hit by one pitch, the pitch that put him out for the rest of the game and weekend ... suffered a broken foot in the second game of the Kentucky series (3/26) and was out until the Auburn series. Jacksonville State: Went 1-for-3 with two RBI for the afternoon. UAB: Went 1-for-3 with an RBI on the night. Mississippi: Started all three games at second base ... went 3-for-11 with three runs and three RBI while walking once and getting hit by a pitch once. Auburn (Riverwalk): Went 0-for-3 while earning the start at second base. EIU: Started all three games at 2B ... hit .333 (3-for-9) in the series with three singles ... drove in one and scored twice. Georgia (Coolray): Started the game at second base ... went 1-for-4 on the night. Troy: Went 1-for-3 with one run while getting hit by a pitch twice. NWSU: Appeared in the bookends of the weekend series, starting both - game one in left field and game three at second base ... went 3-for-6 with two runs and two RBI in two games ... went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI in his first start at second base (3/6). Southern Mississippi: Went 0-for-4 with a walk. USA Classic: Saw action vs. SELU and USA, starting the SELU game in LF ... went 0-for-4 with one RBI in those games. Alabama State: Made his third start of the season, this time at second base ... went 0-for-3 with a walk. Alcorn State: Played in three games, starting two ... went 2-for-7 with two runs and one RBI.

FRESHMAN (2009): Played in 15 games ... made three starts against Alabama A&M (March 18), Kentucky (April 26) and South Alabama (April 29) ... hit .286 (4-for-14) with seven runs scored and four RBI ... hit .500 (2-for-4) with a double and RBI as pinch hitter ... made Alabama debut against Illinois-Chicago on Feb. 28 and singled in first career at-bat ... went 1-for-1 with double, RBI and two runs scored at South Alabama on April 22 ... he had two pinch-hit opportunities during the three-game exhibition series against Cuba ...recorded a sacrifice bunt in his first plate appearance on Dec. 17.
FRESHMAN (2008): Kelton was redshirted during the 2008 season and did not see action for the Tide.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2007 graduate of LaGrange (Ga.) High School ... played for Coach Donnie Branch ... 2004 Georgia AAA State Championship team ... reached the Georgia AAA State Playoffs three consecutive years ... led the Grangers to three consecutive Region 2-AAA championships.
PERSONAL: Full name is Jon Teal Kelton ... son of Billy and Ann Kelton ... has one brother, David, and one sister, Kim ... his brother, David, played professional baseball for seven seasons with the Chicago Cubs and Atlanta Braves minor league organizations.
