FRESHMAN (2009):
Played in 15 games ... made three starts against Alabama A&M (March 18), Kentucky (April 26) and South Alabama (April 29) ... hit .286 (4-for-14) with seven runs scored and four RBI ... hit .500 (2-for-4) with double and RBI as pinch hitter ... made Alabama debut against Illinois-Chicago on Feb. 28 and singled in first career at-bat ... went 1-for-1 with double, RBI and two runs scored at South Alabama on April 22 ... he had two pinch-hit opportunities during the three-game exhibition series against Cuba ...recorded a sacrifice bunt in his first plate appearance on Dec. 17.
FRESHMAN (2008):
Kelton was redshirted during the 2008 season and did not see action for the Tide.
HIGH SCHOOL:
A 2007 graduate of LaGrange (Ga.) High School ... played for Coach Donnie Branch ... a member of the 2004 Georgia AAA State Championship team ... helped his team reach the Georgia AAA State Playoffs three consecutive years ... led the Grangers to three consecutive Region 2-AAA championships ... attended the same high school as current Alabama assistant coach Dax Norris and current San Diego Padres outfielder Mike Cameron.

Full name is Jon Teal Kelton ... son of Billy and Ann Kelton ... has one brother, David, and one sister, Kim ... his brother, David, played professional baseball for seven seasons with the Chicago Cubs and Atlanta Braves minor league organizations.
