TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The University of Alabama men's and women's cross country program announced its schedule for the upcoming 2013 season, a slate highlighted by the Crimson Tide hosing the 2013 NCAA South Regional Championships in November.
Alabama will kick off the season at the Samford Opener in Birmingham, Ala., on Saturday, August 31, at Samford University. The team will resume action on Friday, September 13, at the Iowa Classic in Iowa City, Iowa, hosted by the University of Iowa. Alabama then takes three weekends off from competition before continuing the fall season on Saturday, October 5, at the Paul Short Invitational at Bethlehem, Pa.
The season reaches its critical stage as the Tide hosts the Crimson Classic at the Harry Pritchett Running Park in Tuscaloosa on Friday, October 18. Next up for the Crimson Tide will be the 2013 SEC Cross Country Championships on Friday, November 1, hosted by the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla.
Alabama hosts the 2013 NCAA South Regional Championships on Friday, November 15, at the Harry Pritchett Running Park in Tuscaloosa. The final meet of the 2013 season will be the NCAA Championships on Saturday, Nov. 23, in Terre Haute, Ind.
