Student-Athletes Set for Summer Commencement

The 30 summer graduates will join the 104 Tide student-athletes who graduated following with the fall and spring semesters, pushing the athletics department's graduation tally at 134 for the 2012-13 academic year


Alabama Athletics Places 77 on SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll

The softball team's 15 honorees led the way for the Tide, followed by the 12 members of the rowing team and the 12 members of the women's track and field team. The Alabama baseball team placed 11 members on the honor roll; women's golf, men's tennis and men's track and field each landed six student-athletes on the honor roll, followed by the four members of the women's tennis team

Selected to 2013 SEC Community Service Team ... added a 5th place SEC Outdoor Championships finish in the triple jump with a jump of 51-1 1/2 ... recorded a jump of 50-4 3/4 in the tiple jump at the Drake Relays and finished 6th ... finished 13th at the LSU Alumni Gold in the triple jump with a jump of 44-7 1/2 ... won the triple jump at the Spec Towns Invitational with a mark of 51-3 1/2 ... finished 2nd at the John Mitchell Alabama Relays in the triple jump with a mark of 49-10.

2013 Indoor Season

Set new PR at the NCAA Indoor Championships with a triple jump of 52-5 ¼ and finished fifth garnering first team All-America honors ...set a PR at the SEC Championships in the triple jump with a jump of 52-3 ¼, placed fifth ... recorded a mark of 50-4 ½ at and a second place finish at the Mark Colligan in the triple jump ... jumped for 50-7 ½ in the triple jump at the Indiana Relays and finished first ... recorded a 50-1 ¼ in the triple jump at the Auburn Invitational which was good for third ... finished second at the Crimson Tide Indoor Opener in the triple jump with a mark of 49-7.

2012 Indoor Season
Placed fourth in the triple jump at Texas A&M Invitational at 48-0 ... was 13th overall in the triple jump by marking a 49-1 at the New Balance Invitational ... cleared 6-6 ¼ in the high jump at the Auburn Invitational ... finished fourth overall in the triple jump at Crimson Tide Indoor Opener with a jump of 49-1 ½.

2011 Outdoor Season
Finished 13th in the triple jump with a leap of 50-9 ½ at the NCAA East Region Championships ... shattered his previous personal best in the triple jump by more than two feet with a mark of 51-6 ½ to finish eighth at the SEC Championships ... also finished 14th in the high jump by clearing 6-9 at the SEC Championships ... was eighth in the high jump with an outdoor best height of 6-10 ¾ at the Drake Relays ... finished sixth in the high jump by clearing a 6-8 ¾ at the Texas Relays ... took home the title in the triple jump after posting a mark of 49-3 ½ on the final day of the Alabama Relays.

2011 Indoor Season
Tied for seventh with a 6-9 high jump at the SEC Championships ... tied for fifth with teammate Tyler Campbell by clearing 6-9 ½ in the long jump at the Flotrack Husky Classic ... was third with a clearance of 6-10 ¼ in the high jump at the Cherry & Silver Invitational.

Prep and Personal
Finished 13th in the high jump at the IAAF World Junior Championships with a height of 6-6 ¾ ... finished fifth in the 2007 IAAF World Youth Championships in the high jump ... won the under 20 CARIFTA title with a career-best jump of 7-0 ¼ ... at the U17 level, he was the CARIFTA Games high jump champion and finished second in the triple jump ... finished third in the boys' high jump at the 2010 Penn Relays ... won the Jamaican boys' championship in the high jump ... helped Kingston College to four national high school championships where he was team captain in 2010 ... was a four-time Jamaican national junior high jump champion and won one title in the triple jump.
