Paine & Schade Earn All-SEC Honors; Tide Has League-Best 5 Athletes on All-Freshman Track Squad

Paine earned First-Team All-SEC honors by winning the women's pole vault with a school-record height at the recent SEC meet held February 22-24 in Fayetteville, Ark. Schade finished second in the women's high jump to earn Second-Team All-SEC accolades.

Finished 4th at the SEC Outdoor Championships with a 1,500 meter time of 3:51.46 ... ran on the 4x800-meter relay team at the Drake Relays that came in 6th with a time of 7:33.83 ... won his second event of the outdoor season with a 3:47.55 1,500 meter time at the Crimson Tide Invitational ... won the 1,500 meter race at the Yellow Jacket Invitational, timed at 3:45.47, a new PR ... anchor leg on the winning distance medley relay (1st in 9:51.62) unit at the John Mitchell Alabama Relays.

2013 Indoor Season
Ran his best time of the year at the SEC Championships and placed third in the mile with a time of 4:02.34 ... ran in the mile at the Mark Colligan with a time of 4:07.81 and a second place finish ... added another top-ten finish at the Indiana Relays with a time of 1:53.55 in the 800 meter invitational ... ran a 4:08.04 at the Indiana Relays in the mile invitational, good enough for ninth ... finished third in the mile with a time of 4:11.63 in fist collegiate meet of his career at the Auburn Invitational.
