Competed in first collegiate meet at the Crimson Tide Indoor Opener, placing 21st in the 3,000 meter with a time of 9:08.43.

Placed 14th at the 2011 Wisconsin State Cross Country Championships and was first team all-state in 2010 with a 14th place finish ... was fifth in the 3,200 meters at the 2012 state sectional meet ... won the 3,200 meters at the 2011 Big Rivers Conference Championship and finished second in 2012... a consistent qualifier for the State meet in both cross country and on the track during his prep career ... also was a competitive swimmer in high school ... son of Scott and Marjorie Faris ... born April 10, 1994, in Chippewa Falls, Wis.
