AUBURN, Ala. - Alabama freshman Carrie Dragland closed out 2008 with a three-event sweep of the Auburn Diving Invitational this weekend when she finished the meet off by winning the platform event.

Dragland, who won the one and three-meter boards on the meet's first two days, scored 320.30 points to take honors off the platform. She was followed by teammate Elizabeth Hughes, a junior, who scored 252.75 points for second place. Sophomore Baylee Ellson scored 230.55 to take fifth.

Junior Aaron Fleshner was fifth off the platform on the men's side of the meet while sophomore Adam Booher was sixth. Fleshner tallied 348.70 points while Booher scored 251.15.

The Crimson Tide now takes a few days off for the holidays before returning to campus to begin its final push toward the championship season.
