BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Alabama Swimming and Diving Team had six student-athletes earn a place on the Southeastern Conference Freshman Academic Honor Roll it was announced recently.

Rookies Andrew Reeves (Electrical Engineering), Cameron Bass (Pre-Med), Lauren Cuervo (Advertising/Public Relations), Caitlyn Harrison (Apparel and Textiles Fashion Retailing), Shelby Hixon (Pre-Med) and Suzanne Schwee (Psychology) all earned the honor.

To earn a spot on the honor roll a student-athlete must have a 3.00 or better cumulative grade point average, be on scholarship or a letter winner and have completed 24 semester hours.

The six rookies join 33 upperclassmen who earned a place on the SEC's Winter Academic Honor Roll, giving the Tide a total of 39 student-athletes on the conference list. The women's team led the way for the Crimson Tide on the Winter list with 23 student-athletes, the highest total of any school and any sport, while the men placed 10 on the list.
