TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Four Alabama divers will be vying for a spot at the upcoming national championships at the NCAA Zone B Championships being held March 5-7 at the James E. Martin Aquatics Center in Auburn, Ala.

Crimson Tide sophomore Paige McCleary will vie for one of 10 berths available out of Zone B on the women's side of the meet. Freshman Jordan Lesser and sophomores Jake Carloni and Luke Zippi will be competing for one of the eight slots available on the men's side.

For the second year in a row, McCleary finaled off both the 1 and 3-meter boards at the Southeastern Conference Championships, finishing in the top eight off both boards as a freshman and sophomore. She will be competing against 43 other divers for one of just 10 NCAA Championship spots available from Zone B. Freshman Angley Martinez, who finished sixth off the platform at the SEC Championships, won't compete at the Zone championships after being sidelined with a back issue.

Lesser posted a top-five finish off the platform in his first SEC Championship appearance while Zippi also scored off the platform. The Tide trio is among the 36 divers who are going for eight NCAA Championship bids up for grabs for the men this week.

The Zone B Championships are the first of five diving meets across the country that will feed into the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. The remaining four Zone meets will take place March 8-11. The Zone B Championships get underway Monday with the preliminaries of the women's 1-meter springboard at 11 a.m. CST and the prelims of the men's 3-meter board at 3:30 p.m. CST.
