TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -
The Alabama swimming and diving teams close out the 2013-14 regular season Saturday morning in Athens, Ga., against Southeastern Conference rival Georgia. The meet will be held in Gabrielsen Natatorium starting at 11 a.m. ET.
Alabama's men are coming off back-to-back wins over Kentucky and Emory, while the Tide women have tallied wins against Kentucky, Arkansas and Emory since the start of the New Year.
The meet will be the final dual meet of senior sprint All-American BJ Hornikel's illustrious career as well as the first road meet for rookie sprinter Kristian Golomeev, who joined the Crimson Tide in January for the second semester.
On the women's side of the meet, senior Paige McCleary, the defending SEC Diver of the Week, will be taking to the diving well for the last dual meet of her career while freshman Leah Bird, one of the nation's top butterflyers, is making her first trip to Athens.
In addition to giving Alabama a chance to fine tune for the upcoming championship season, it will give the Tide a chance to familiarize themselves with the site of this year's SEC Championships, which will be held Feb. 18-22 on the UGA campus.
