The Crimson Tide Closes Out the Alabama Diving Invitational and 2013 Competition

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Crimson Tide closed out the Alabama Diving Invitational and its 2013 schedule with a pair of third place finishes off the platform Wednesday afternoon.

Senior Paige McCleary, who won the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard events on the first two days of the invitational, took third off the platform after tallying 209.45 points over five dives. Auburn's Cinzia Calabretta took first place with 255.95 points.

Alabama freshman Sarah Musselman and Taylor Zablocki took fourth and fifth, respectively, with Musselman scoring 182.15 points while Zablocki tallied 179.405 points.

On the men's side of the meet, senior Luke Zippi took third place off the platform with 327.35 points over six dives. Auburn's John Santeiu won the platform with 352.00 points. Tide freshman Brent Sagert also posted a top-five finish, totaling 326.30 points off the platform to take fourth place.

The divers return to action Jan. 3-5 at the Georgia Diving Invitational in Athens, Ga. Both the swimmers and diver will face off against Kentucky and Arkansas on Jan. 11 in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
