While the swimmers stayed home and trained, the University of Alabama's divers took to the road this weekend, stacking up four top-10 finishes at the Georgia Tech Fall Invitational at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center.
Sophomore Callan Buck and freshman Angely Martinez led the way with eighth place finishes off the 3-meter board and the platform respectively. Buck scored 300.70 points in prelims and 300.65 points in the finals while Martinez tallied 244.00 off the 10-meter platform.
On the men's side, sophomore Luke Zippi was ninth and freshman Jordan Lesser was 10th off the 3-meter board. Zippi scored 329.30 points in prelims and 302.45 in finals while Lesser came away with 328.25 points in the first round and 278.55 in finals.
Junior Peter Hillyer led the way for the men off the 1-meter board, taking 16th place with a score of 273.30 while Lesser was UA's top finisher off the platform, taking 13th place after totaling 273.70 points.
For the women, Buck posted the Tide's top 1-meter finish with a 20th place, 237.10 effort.
