INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Alabama swimming and diving team closed out the 2013 season at the NCAA Championships Saturday in Indianapolis.

Senior Jenna Gallo, who earned her NCAA berth after shattering the school record in the mile at the Southeastern Conference Championships, took 29th place in the 1650 freestyle on Saturday, posting a time of 16:21.71. Gallo finished out her career ranked in the top-3 in the 500, 1,000 and 1,650 freestyles.

Sophomore Kaylin Burchell, in her second NCAA Championship appearance, swam both the 100 and 200 breaststroke. In the 200, she finished 42nd with a time of 2:13.32. In the 100, she posted a 1:01.41 to take 39th. Her career-best time rank her second all-time at Alabama in both the 100 and 200 breaststrokes.

Overall this season, Alabama added 10 swims to its all-time top-10 list, and more than 70-percent of Alabama's post-season swims resulted in career-best times.
