LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Alabama Swimming and Diving teams fell to Kentucky in Lancaster Aquatic Center Saturday afternoon in the Crimson Tide's first dual meets of the New Year. The men's meet came down to the last relay with the Tide losing 159-139 while the Tide women were downed 182-116.

Junior Aaron Fleshner, the reigning SEC Diver of the Week, won both the one and three-meter diving events against the Wildcats. Sophomore Adam Booher took second off the one-meter board to give the Tide a one-two finish.

In the mile the Tide men went 1-2-3 led by junior Mark Randall who also won the 500 freestyle. Junior Drew Finelli was second in the mile followed by classmate Kyle Lee. Finelli was also third in the 500.

Junior Riley Boulden led a one-two-three sweep of the 200 breaststroke and the Tide's one-two finish in the 100 breaststroke. Junior Luke Boutwell was second in both breaststrokes while Dan Armstrong was third in the 200 breaststroke. Boulden also took second in the 200 IM.

On the women's side of the meet, Tide junior Allyson Angle won the 200 backstroke while junior Agustina de Giovanni won the 200 breaststroke.

Alabama closes out the regular season Saturday, Jan. 31 at home against South Carolina and Georgia.
