TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The University of Alabama football team held a two-hour practice in shells (helmets and shoulder pads) on Thursday afternoon at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields.
The 3:50 p.m. session was the team's 19th of 25 total leading up to the season opener in Atlanta, Ga., on Sept. 2. The top-ranked Crimson Tide will begin the 2017 campaign at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in the Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Game against the No. 3 Florida State Seminoles. The two teams will meet on ABC with the game scheduled for a 7 p.m. CT kickoff. Â
Friday will be the Tide's final 3:30 p.m. session of the week before the team moves up to the 2:30 p.m. slot for Saturday's practice. Alabama will take Sunday off before starting game week preparations on Monday for the matchup with the Seminoles.
