TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The University of Alabama football team put in two more hours of work on Wednesday afternoon in preparation for this Saturday's top-15 matchup with the No. 15 LSU Tigers, practicing in full pads at the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility.
The team continued to work on a game plan to stop an LSU rushing attack that ranks fourth in the conference with 239.9 yards a game. The two SEC West rivals will square off at 7 p.m. CT on CBS for a primetime matchup at Tiger Stadium. The trio of Verne Lundquist, Gary Danielson and Allie LaForce will call the game, the trio's fourth Tide game of the season.
Alabama and LSU will meet for the 81st time in a series that dates back to 1895. The Crimson Tide leads the all-time series, 50-25-5, and is on a five-game winning streak against the Tigers that began with a 21-0 victory in the 2012 Allstate BCS National Championship in New Orleans. Alabama has won 20 of the last 25 matchups between the two teams in Baton Rouge, including a 20-13 overtime victory in 2014. Most recently, Derrick Henry rushed for three touchdowns and the Tide defense limited LSU to 182 total yards in a 30-16 win in Tuscaloosa last season.
