WVUA-FM 90.7 The Capstone in Tuscaloosa, enters its 12th season offering exclusive coverage of Alabama Softball in 2012. Chad Haynie returns to the booth for his third season calling all Crimson Tide Softball games. Haynie is joined by Paden Lapwing for all home games. Broadcasts begin ten minutes before first pitch and include postgame coverage. The pregame show features "The Patrick Murphy Report" a short preview of the day's game with the Alabama skipper. Crimson Tide fans outside of Tuscaloosa can listen to all games online at wvuafm.ua.edu with the station's live stream. The stream is also available on any iPhone, Android or Blackberry with the TuneIn Radio App. Television InformationAlabama will appear on the ESPN Family of Networks and on Fox Sports South and CSS, the 2012 television schedule will be released closer to the season. Most Alabama home games that are not carried under the ESPN package, are broadcast on WVUA-TV. WVUA is available througout much of the state of Alabama and can be seen from Mississippi to Georgia through the Birmingham market and in parts of Montgomery and Huntsville. WVUA is available on Cable, DirecTV, Dish Netowrk, AT&T U-Verse and over-the-air, reaching more than 3 million viewers. Sports Director Gary Harris is the primary play-by-play announcer for the station. |
