Assistant Athletic Trainer
John has served as Athletic Trainer at The University of Alabama, since 1996 and is in charge of Men's Basketball and Men's and Women's Golf, while supervising the Graduate Assistant athletic trainer for the Spirit Squads. He received his BS degree in 1986 from Eastern Illinois University and his Master's Degree at the University of Kentucky in 1995. His background varies from working in high school, clinical orthopedics and physical therapy.
While working in Illinois he was active at the state and district level. He served as a member of the Sports Medicine Advisory Committee for the Illinois High School Association in 1990- 1992. He was trained as a Steroid Education Consultant for the Illinois State Board of Education in 1991. He has been a volunteer for the Prairie State Games and Bluegrass State Games. He is currently a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, Southeastern Athletic Trainers' Association, and is the current President of the Alabama Athletic Trainers' Association.
The Newton, Illinois native is married to Dr. Maggie Stewart Morr and they have two sons, Will and Jake.
