Courtney McLane and Brooke Pancake Earn Capital One Academic All-District Honors

Senior golfer Brooke Pancake and senior tennis player Courtney McLane earned first-team honors and are now on the Academic All-America ballot

While the University of Alabama athletes excel on the field, Jon Dever is there to make sure that the Crimson Tide athletes are a success in the classroom as well.

Dever is the Director of Academic Services for Intercollegiate Athletics at the University. He and his staff work with athletes from every sport to ensure that they first receive a quality education before stepping on the playing field.

He joined the UA athletics staff after earning both his bachelor's of science (1988) and his master's degree in education from Clemson University in 1990.

Since joining the Tide in 1992, Dever has worked closely with every sport, pushing the academic achievements of Alabama's athletes to a level of success that rivals the Tide's on-field accomplishments.

Dever and his wife Joellen, have two children, Jon and Ben.
