Thomas-Drew Practice Fields
The Thomas-Drew Practice Fields are home to the Crimson Tide football team during their preparation for gridiron action in the fall. The football practice fields are one of the oldest athletic facilities on the UA campus. Coach Paul W. Bryant's famous white tower still overlooks the fields to this day.
The practice complex is made up of three full-length natural grass collegiate football fields and a 100+ yard artificial turf field with one end zone.
The three natural grass fields run north to south just as Bryant-Denny Stadium, while the artificial turf field runs east to west.
New sod was installed on the natural grass field closest to Hackberry Lane in the summer of 2010.
A privacy screen surrounds the fence of the practice fields. Football practices are closed to the public.
